DENVER, Colo. (April 20, 2024) - Nikola Jokic arrived at Ball Arena on Saturday night in character for the Denver Nuggets' first-round playoff game against the Utah Jazz. The two-time NBA MVP was dressed as Gru, the protagonist from the Despicable Me film franchise.
Jokic's appearance was met with a mix of surprise and amusement from fans and media members. The Nuggets star explained that he chose to dress as Gru because he is a big fan of the character and because he thought it would be a fun way to start the playoffs.
